Fly into Guwahati or Tezpur, drive to Bhalukpong.

Long drive day into the Arunachal hills, overnight in Dirang.

Dirang to Tawang
Drive over Sela Pass into Tawang, evening at leisure.

Tawang Monastery
Full day at Tawang Monastery and the surrounding town.

Madhuri Lake & Bumla Pass
Day trip to Madhuri Lake and, permit permitting, Bumla Pass.

Return to Dirang
Drive back over Sela Pass to Dirang.

- An Inner Line Permit is mandatory for Indian nationals and is arranged by us, but requires advance passport details.
- Bumla Pass access is controlled by the military and subject to same-day clearance — it cannot be guaranteed in advance.
- This is a long, drive-heavy itinerary through mountainous terrain — not recommended for travellers with limited tolerance for extended road travel.
